Guess who is heading back to Atlanta for Haven?

Yup, me! I’m heading back to Atlanta again to join some amazing DIY Bloggers for Haven Conference and am so excited about it!

Haven or Bust Front Porch Mercantile

Last year was somewhat life-changing for me (really) you can read about my experience here.

Haven is a two-day conference that allows people to learn from and gather with some of the most notable DIY/Home bloggers in blog land. Conference sessions focused on DIY instruction with a mix of blogging and social media. Last year, I met SO many amazing and inspiring bloggers and made so many new friends! I was so incredibly outside my comfort zone and yet it was so wonderful.

Haven is where I met and was totally inspired by Marian – Miss Mustard Seed. Horrible picture, but still one of my favs!

Can you say “inspired”? I was. Look what happened :)

My poor husband is a little worried about what will happen when I go this year!

When I came home last year I was full of creative ideas, and more importantly, I had been inspired and cheered on by such a fabulous group of women that I ended up taking a giant leap and opened up Front Porch Mercantile. It’s been a wonderful life-altering year.

I have not been blogging very much, I’ve been so busy painting and keeping shop. But I’m committing to blogging and sharing more about our DIY home projects and of course things going on at the shop! We’ve got some fun plans coming up including DIY videos, paint getaways, more creative and fun workshops and can’t wait to share some new things with you!

Have you ever stepped outside your comfort zone and ended up with something wonderful? That pretty much sums up what happened to me.

Can’t wait to see my blogger friends and learn some new “tricks” at Haven and his year I’ve extended my trip a couple of days and I’m going to get to go “pickin” with some fun ladies…it won’t cost much to ship from Georgia will it? :)

:)

ps..while I’m away, Lise will be holding down the fort at Front Porch Mercantile July  9-12th, I’m so grateful and blessed to have such a talented painter and wonderful friend work with me. Go see her while I’m gone a week, she rocks!

  1. So jealous! I held off on booking because I didn’t think we’d be as settled as we were, in the middle of our move, but now I wish I had taken the chance and set myself up to go. :O( Found a ticket for sale and a flight, but the hotels in the area are now all booked up, lol. Oh well, perhaps I’ll get there next year and maybe our paths will cross as icing on the cake. I hope you have a great time and look forward to all the updates/photos of y’all having fun!!

    1. Hi Julianne, would have been wonderful if you could have come! Can’t wait to meet you someday! xx

  2. Sounds awesome. I’m going to BlogPodium in Toronto this year.
I want to organize a big event in Prince Edward County for vintage/reclaimed/upcycled/thrifted stuff. Kind of like Luckett’s in the US.
Even posting about it is scary.
