I was so surprised the other day when one of my very awesome customers (and now friend) posted this video on how to use Fat Paint on her Facebook page for her friends to see.

She is such a fab client (dare I say addicted) and has been changing up her entire house with our  Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint, Fat Paint chalk style paint and our Fusion Paint. Chairs, tables, painted fabric, coffee tables, and more. She has incredible style and taste, and a great presence on video!

She posted this video for her friends as everyone was asking her how and what she uses. I asked her if she would let me share with you and she kindly agreed.  No laughing at the end when she goes on and on about me “knowing it all” that made me laugh, I don’t, but I can guide you if you are thinking of doing a project! Come see me! (and for the record, Jen did this all on her own, I didn’t pay her or ask her to do) :)

Fat Paint at Front Porch Mercantile

Jen is using Fat Paint chalk style paint in Indigo for her buffet, and she is finishing it with Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Wax!

Fat Paint is eco friendly, no smell, no sanding, no priming or stripping required. A light scuff sand and a good cleaning and you are ready to go. Did you know our Fat Paint is MADE in CANADA? We love that too. It’s safe and fun to use!

Here is a link to a post showing how I updated an end table in just an afternoon! Love this paint!befre/after Fat Paint frontporchmercantile.com

Thank you Jen, love this video.

Happy Painting folks!

  1. That was awesome! Totally a natural, she’s so easy to listen to and so sweet. Okay, I want to sit and chat with her about painting. Tell her she rocks!!

  2. She is a natural. Lovely little video, and she’s done a marvellous job on her hutch. I’m still a little too scared to paint big furniture, but maybe trays or non-antique chairs might be fun.

  3. great video!! It’s great to see someone explain FAT paint in layman a terms. I’m hoping to get my painting fix this weekend… I’m about 3 hours away but my super fantastic hubby is actual going to drive to Front Porch Mercantile to buy me some FAT paint!!! Wendy has been awesome with email convos and advice!! Thanks again for sharing!!

  4. Jenn is a natural !! I really enjoyed this video and she was very thorough. She was also correct in her description of you, Wendy Batten – Front Porch Mercantile!
